People A Vital Ad_junct For Education.
WHS Advisors, Teachers And

\

W1defle ld High School is the product of the people associated with it.
All types of people- -people who supervise, people who teach, people who
serve, and people who learn. All
these people work together to reach a
common goal- -education. Education
is the door to success that eventually
helps each student to become a worthwhile Amencan citizen. Education,
wh1ch 1s ind1v1dual progression,
means progress for socwty.

The classroom is the center of
all types of activities- -a center of
discw::;sion, a center of study, a
center of vocational training, a
center of physical conditioning.
The student and teacher relationship develops the atmosphere of
the classroom. Education i::; promoted to the greatest extent in the
classroom where rapport exists
between teacher and student.
The lc..test and most modern
desi6n has been mcorporated in
WHS classrooms. Most classrooms
have more than adequate facilities.
Education is accomplished more

Graduation is the climax of
four years of high school
experiences. Looking back
on those years we remember
... registering as sophomores
... flirting with the latest
boyfriend
... amusing ourselves in
class
... tossing tinsel on the
Christmas tree
... posing at dances
... attending games
... "goofing off" in gym
... holding hands at the
after-game dances
... receiving our scoreboard

... jigging at an after-game
dance .
. . . wrestling under former
Coach Rounds
... "making-up" for a play
... being hobos for a day
... going out on the job in
woodworking class
... posing for a "couple
shot" at the '62 Winter
Ball
... dancing at the band concert, "A Night on
Broadway"
... decorating for our '64
Homecoming Dance

... waiting for the bell to
ring after lunch
... devising "fishy" campaign slogans for Student
Council elections
... trying to learn under
Mr. J. ' "iron hand"
... seeing Earl Avery'
bicycle at school
... keying a new 11IS member
... scoring tho e winning
points
These were some of the
most precious moments of
our lives.
